Growing Together: Got Your Six and the Princeton Community
Our Commitment to Community Involvement
As a veteran‑owned dispensary, we believe service doesn’t stop when the uniform comes off—it simply shifts focus. That’s why community involvement sits at the core of every decision we make, from sustainable sourcing to customer education. We see cannabis as one avenue to well‑being; building stronger neighborhoods is another. As part of the Princeton community, we strive to do our part to get involved, give back, and be a source of support when we’re needed the most.
Partnering With Princeton Community Organizations
Connection and support always start with collaboration. As we continue to grow, we’ll be forging relationships with leading Princeton community organizations, from food banks and youth arts programs to environmental clean‑up efforts. By lending volunteer hours, sponsorship dollars, and all the support we can offer, we aim to amplify the good work already happening around town. We may specialize in providing quality cannabis, but we want to be a valuable part of the community as well.
How We Plan to Pitch In
Our approach to community involvement will stay flexible so that we can meet Princeton’s changing needs. Whether that means volunteering alongside local residents, opening our space for educational gatherings, or lending support to emerging Princeton community organizations, we’ll tailor each effort as opportunities arise. As our partnerships deepen, we’ll share updates on upcoming initiatives, ways to participate, and the impact we’re collectively making.
Supporting Veterans & Wellness
As a storefront founded by former service members, Got Your Six is committed to programs that honor and assist those who’ve served our country. Expect partnerships with regional VFW posts, PTSD support groups, and adaptive sports teams—all designed to extend our “we’ve got your back” philosophy beyond the sales floor.

By Jean Stratton, Town Topics, October 29, 2025
Got Your Six Dispensary was recently featured in Town Topics for its veteran-led mission, community partnerships, and commitment to cannabis education. The article highlights owner Freddy Herrera, a U.S. Army veteran whose own healing journey inspired the dispensary’s focus on accessibility, education, and giving back.
Freddy and his team support local veterans’ organizations, the South Brunswick PBA, and national partners like the Last Prisoner Project and the Balanced Veterans Network. Their goal is simple — to make cannabis approachable, reliable, and community-driven.
The story also spotlights the dispensary’s upcoming grand opening at its new Princeton Marketplace location on November 8, honoring Veterans Day with vendors, music, food trucks, and giveaways — all free and open to the public.
